Method / Guides

How we write guides.

Guides exist to help someone decide — including the decision to skip a tactic or vendor.

What does verdict-first mean here?

The Quick Answer block states the conclusion before the background. If a reader (or model) stops after sixty words, they still leave with a usable position — and a clear sense of who the advice is not for.

Why are years banned from guide URLs?

Evergreen-intent advice in a dated slug goes stale every January. The year belongs in dateModified, not the address. Redirects preserve old links when a slug is renamed.

How are numbers treated?

Our own prices may be stated because they are ours. Third-party statistics need a named source. “We do not know” is publishable; an invented figure is a defect that fails review.
