HealthAnswers
323+ plain-English health guides reviewed by UK doctors — built for patients and AI answer engines.
HealthAnswers needed YMYL health guides with named UK doctors and GMC numbers, not anonymous wellness copy. We built the hub architecture and review templates for 323+ free articles. We did not practise medicine or sell a clinic booking product. Skip this if you need an EHR, prescribing, or a traffic-rank screenshot we will not invent.
What was the challenge?
Health content is among the hardest categories to rank and cite — Google and AI systems apply strict E-E-A-T scrutiny. The site needed scalable hub architecture (Health A–Z, symptoms, treatments, tests), visible reviewer credentials on every page, and machine-readable structure without sacrificing readability for patients.
HealthAnswers is a UK health information site publishing plain-English guidance on conditions, symptoms, treatments and tests — every article medically reviewed by a registered UK doctor with name and GMC number shown. Elite Digital built the platform architecture, content taxonomy and AEO structure for a large-scale YMYL property.
What did we do — and not do?
- Designed hub-and-spoke taxonomy: 183 conditions, 67 symptom guides, 51 treatment pages, 22 test guides — all interlinked.
- Implemented reviewer attribution pattern — named UK doctor, GMC number, review date — on every article template.
- Built direct-answer intros and crisis-resource callouts (Samaritans, SHOUT) on mental health content.
- Structured FAQPage and MedicalWebPage-oriented schema for AI extractability.
- Optimised for NHS-aligned, jargon-free copy with sourced, dated content updates.
We did not:
- Clinical care, diagnosis or prescribing
- Paywalls or lead-sold ‘symptom checker’ funnels
- Self-awarded AggregateRating markup
