How much does a dental website cost in the UK?

Published healthcare tiers applied to dental practices — not a mystery quote. Capture date 12 August 2026.

Quick answer

A UK dental practice website with us uses the published healthcare tiers: Essential from £1,995, Practice from £2,950, Authority from £4,500 — capture date 12 August 2026. There is no cheaper dental-only SKU. Skip this if you need a practice-management system or a Squarespace walkthrough; we build marketing sites, not clinical software.

What are the published tiers?

Essential from £1,995 is a small practice site: core treatment pages, one location, trust and local-search foundations. Practice from £2,950 adds a fuller treatment menu, location depth, finance and booking journeys, copy. Authority from £4,500 is multi-site or implant-led builds with fuller local SEO and AEO. Ongoing Care starts from £99/month. Same figures as private practice website cost because it is the same SKU family.

TierPublished amountTypical dental fit
Essentialfrom £1,995Single-site, NHS+private mix, a handful of treatment pages.
Practicefrom £2,950Private-heavy menu, finance, several dentists, booking.
Authorityfrom £4,500Multi-site, implants/ortho flagship, AEO on money pages.

What makes a dental site cost more than Essential?

Page count is the honest driver: every treatment (implants, Invisalign, composite bonding, emergency) needs a page patients and AI engines can extract. Multi-site means location pages that are not clones. Finance calculators, membership plans and referral forms add build time. Named clinician bios with GDC numbers are not optional in this sector — they are the conversion asset. Stock photography of anonymous smiles is cheaper and weaker.

We do not charge extra for “being dental”. We charge for pages, locations and integrations you actually need. If a quote is half of Essential with “unlimited pages”, read the contract for theme-only delivery.

Should you use a template or a dental franchise theme?

Use a template if you will never compete on search, never need distinct treatment copy, and can live with the same layout as three practices on your high street. Skip a paid agency build if that is truly the job. Most private dentists lose enquiries on trust in the first seconds — credentials, speed, real reviews, an obvious book-now path. A franchise theme that hides the GDC number behind a footer link is doing the wrong job.

Freelancers can ship a brochure. They often miss CAP/ASA finance wording, cookie-less analytics choices, and FAQPage on the questions patients actually ask ChatGPT (“does Invisalign work for overcrowding?”). That is why Practice exists.

What should a dental website include?

Visible GDC numbers for every treating dentist, treatment pages that open with a direct answer, fees or a clear “fees on request” policy that is not a bait-and-switch, finance explained without guaranteed-outcome language, opening hours and parking, emergency vs routine routes, genuine reviews, and a booking path that does not dump people into a generic form. Structure the same pages for Google and for AI citation. Do not mark up fake AggregateRating.

  • Clinician pages with registration numbers patients can verify.
  • Treatment pages with who-should-skip notes (contraindications in plain English, not scare copy).
  • Location pages that match the Google Business Profile, not a city-spam farm.
  • Schema: Organization/Dentist, Person, FAQPage — one @graph. Check it with the schema checker.

What should you do next?

Run the cost estimator with sector Dental, then the GEO audit on your current homepage. If you are still on a five-page brochure and want implants to rank, you are in Practice or Authority, not Essential. We still will not sell you a PMS. See dentists or get a proposal.

What are the common questions about Dental website cost — frequently asked questions?

Is there a cheaper dental-only website package?

No. Dental practices use the published healthcare tiers: Essential from £1,995, Practice from £2,950, Authority from £4,500. Capture date 12 August 2026.

Does the fee include SOE, Dentally or a patient portal?

No. We build the marketing site and can link out to your booking product. We do not sell, host or migrate clinical practice-management software.

What about GDC and ASA rules on before-and-after photos?

Treatment claims, finance wording and clinical imagery must follow GDC Standards and CAP/ASA rules. We structure the pages; the practice remains responsible for clinical claims it approves.

Should I read the private-practice cost guide instead?

Read both if you are a mixed medical clinic. This page is for dental: treatment menus, finance journeys, GDC-visible credentials. The private-practice guide covers consultants and clinics more broadly.

Planning a dental practice website?

We quote the published healthcare tiers — Essential, Practice or Authority — and we will say if a template is enough.
